Kenya’s Inflation Rate Drops to a Six-Month Low
The inflation rate for November 2021 has dropped to a six-month low as a result of a decrease in food and non-alcoholic drinks prices
Kenya’s November inflation rate dropped to 5.8% from 6.45% in October. This is the lowest rate since April this year, occasioned by a decrease in food and non-alcoholic drinks prices.
The Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas, and Other Fuels’ Index, increased by 0.49% between October 2021 and November 2021.
The price of 50 kilowatts of electricity decreased by 0.39%, and that of 200 kilowatts decreased by 0.29%.
With the rise in inflation, the cost of goods and services becomes more expensive.
